FAQs

Q: Do you have restrooms?
A: We do not have public restrooms. Falcon is about 10 minutes away, and there are shops off Burgess and Black Forest Rd that have restrooms also about 10 minutes away.

Q: Can we take a tour?
A: We do not allow tours due to liability and so we do not upset any of the more sensitive dogs who would be worried about an unfamiliar person. You can see everything inside and out on our Instagram and Facebook!

Q: Do you need to meet our dog first?
A: Nope! We do highly encourage you to do an overnight sleepover evaluation, especially if your dog has not been boarded before, so they can have a quick visit to get comfortable here prior to your trip.

Q: Will my dog play with other dogs?
A: We do not do any group play, as we’ve found that it’s more beneficial to allow dogs the time to be away from other dogs and do what they want to do without any pressure to interact or play with unfamiliar dogs. Dogs are let out in the yards individually/family only. We do allow dogs to play together if your dog is being boarded at the same time as a family member or friend’s dog that they get along with.

Q: Does my dog get to go outside?
A: All kennels have an attached outdoor run, and dogs have access to the run 24/7 unless we need to briefly shut them in or out. For example if your dog is too excited and barking when other dogs are taking a turn playing in the yards, we may shut them inside during play rotations. Dogs typically go outside in the play yards several times a day, and it depends on the weather and your individual dog. Some dogs will spend more time hanging out with us inside if they prefer. Some dogs will remain in their kennel suite if they are too nervous and we don’t want to stress them out trying to catch them in the yard, or if the weather is not enjoyable. When we can’t take dogs outside due to weather, we play in the hallways!

Q: How much interaction will my dog get?
A: This is highly variable depending on what your dog wants. Some dogs are very people-focused and we give them as much attention as we can, including having them help us as we do laundry, dishes, stuff Kongs, and other tasks. Some dogs do not enjoy the company and we will invite them for affection or play but if they prefer to be left alone we won’t push it. This includes yard time, where some dogs will get interaction such as playing fetch or tug and running around with us, and other dogs will be allowed to sniff and wander without us pressuring them to interact.

Q: My dog is disabled/takes medications/supplements/has a special food, can you accommodate that?
A: We can administer oral and topical medications and supplements, but not injectibles. If your dog has multiple, please being them in a pill sorter (you must provide the original bottles, by state law). We have refrigerators and freezers available and can accommodate fresh, home prepared, and raw food diets as long as they are pre-portioned. Contact us if your dog has any special requirements. Disabled and differently abled dogs are welcome here! We have had super seniors, dogs with orthopedic concerns, blind dogs, tripods, leg in a cast, incontinence, and other physical differences and medical needs dogs stay with us. Let us know if your dog needs any special care or has any restrictions.

Q: Will you send us photos and videos?
A: Photos and videos are routinely posted to Instagram, which crossposts to Facebook. We often can’t post every dog every day, so please feel free to sent us a text message to ask for pics if you aren’t on social media or haven’t seen your dog posted. We are happy to give you updates and show you how they’re doing! You’re never bothering us, and we don’t mind if you’re a “helicopter mom” checking in to make sure everything is ok. No news is good news; we will always contact you as soon as possible if we have any questions or concerns.

Q: I need to change or cancel my reservation, how do I do that?
A: You cannot do this through the online portal after the reservation has been accepted. Just send an email, text, or contact form, and we’ll make the changes. There is no fee for changes or cancellations.
